Judy Gelles asked students the following three questions:

This is brilliant work but I find it very disturbing. These kids are so young & they worry about so many things. This sounds unfair, cause some of us were literally living in fairy tales but nevertheless it's an eye opener.

Discrimination runs in the blood

That teacher’s story reminded me of another unfair tale. I was in 10^th grade when I heard about it & I was quite pissed off. They say teaching is a very noble profession but I do have my doubts about it. Over the years, I’ve seen strange educationists - those who believe in discrimination & have no shame whatsoever about their fucking beliefs.

This story is about 2 little boys of a sweeper. I don’t know the names of the boys but I knew his parents. They were really very cute & adorable kids & it’s not an exaggeration, cause I have never been a fan of kids. I can only notice a kid, if he/she happens to be genuinely cute.

These boys were admitted in a good school, thanks to some Government servant. Anyhow, the staff did not know they were the kids of sweepers. When the principal inquired from the boy about the 2 people who accompanied them to the school every morning, she was enraged. She had a meeting with that civil servant & she very plainly said that they cannot allow the kids of a sweeper to study with the kids of other people.

The question that has always bothered me is that: what do you expect of such educationists & do they have any moral? Are they even answerable to their own conscience? (But I guess it must be dead.)The thing is…education doesn’t open minds. I’ve been aware of it for too long, cause I know too many educated people who are nothing but illiterates with degrees. They have one rule for themselves & another for others.

Whatever it is…I believe education is the right of every child. It doesn’t matter where he is born. But I don’t think we have come far ahead. We are still standing there. These very educated people breed discrimination. Such closed minds are running schools. What do they teach students? That you must discriminate as we discriminate & please continue this barbaric business till the end of time!

Discrimination is an abuse & when people who are supposed to make this world better indulge in this kind of discrimination, we are left with no hope. They say that the younger lot is worse. I don’t agree with them. They are rotten themselves. Those 2 boys could have had better lives. But some people very strongly believe in the concepts of inferiors & superiors. How can any fucking educationist believe in class difference? This idea itself is repugnant, but it’s being followed quite religiously everywhere.

PS Some people have issues with me, cause I use the (unethical) word fuck in my write-ups. See I’m a blogger/writer…when I see a genuine harami, I won’t go in search of another word to make him/her look less harami.

Arjun Rampal Celebrated Children's Day

Arjun Rampal is a good looking and decent man. Recently, he celebrated Children's Day with the underprivileged kids at Mc Donalds. Here are a few photos of the event.

The height of hopelessness!

3 or 4 times I have read in the newspaper that kids are being left to grow with the cats & dogs in the house. Such children bark, & walk like dogs & cats as they have been raised by them. Parents throw food on the floor for them. Whenever such kids are discovered, they are taken away immediately. Of course truth is stranger than fiction & we get to hear crappy stories on a daily basis. The thing is…nothing shocks us anymore.

Children don’t come in this world just like that. Needless to say, it’s a very big responsibility to look after a child. I have also gone through reports about illegitimate kids…people throw acid to get rid of these infants. Sometimes they leave them in garbage sites where stray dogs kill them. In fact, people become so damn creative when they want to hurt anyone.

Few years ago, an infant was left outside the mosque in Karachi. When people saw the child, they informed maulana sahab about it. And maulana sahab was quite sure that the baby was illegitimate. According to his closed mind, anything illegitimate was the symbol of impurity & he asked people to cast stones at the baby. And everyone there thought they were sinless just like the new born baby & so they were in the position to lynch that infant. And that’s how all the bastards killed that infant. Nothing has ever been done about it. Most probably, maulvi sahab must be having anal sex somewhere. My doctor friends say that it’s one of most favourite activities of the clergy. Their wives often come to the clinic with this problem & nobody will ever call it an abuse.

We often see these little girls & maids looking after kids. I don’t know how could people trust servants to this extent. My mom told me that once she saw this servant hitting a child with her shoe in the park. Who is responsible? A child being hit & abused by a servant is not just a sorry story. It also tells us about the irresponsible parents who have no time for their children. Wasting your money on the child is not everything.

I still remember how I bothered both my parents when I was a kid. I’ve also heard stories from my mother, khalas, uncles & aunties how Ammi & Papa used to go out of their way to do something for me. The fact is…kids are supposed to bother parents. It’s something natural. It’s sickening to know that parents can be so irresponsible & selfish.

This is beside the point. But whenever I go to the clinic, I often see servants bringing the pets for their check-up. I’m very sorry to say but I find this equally abhorrent. What’s the point of keeping a pet when you don’t even have time to take him to the clinic. I have also seen these damn servants treating the animals so badly.

Whether it’s a child or a pet – servants would treat them badly, if they could. I’m not saying that all servants are bad. After all, they are humans. Some are good but mostly, servants aren’t that good. Abandoning your kids at the mercy of servants is not that great an option…at least in my opinion. Leaving children with the pets to grow up only highlights how untrustworthy & fucked up those parents are.

All I know is that kids ought to be treated like kids. And such stories only give one headaches. For a better tomorrow, you must work on your kids.
