My dad and step mom said that they could cover me on their insurance even though I was married, that...

My dad and step mom said that they could cover me on their insurance even though I was married, that they would add me to their plan in june.

Well, it just so turns out that they can’t, and they didn’t bother to fucking TELL ME when they found out, so now my deadline for application at work is up and I’m going to be uninsured until June when I can re-apply.

FUCK MY PARENTS

They’re not parents. Parents would tell their kid that they can’t help her get medical attention, especially considering all the health issues that I’ve had in the last few years.

My lazy fucking pig of a step mother wouldn’t keep her fucking job because someone at work was mean to her. So she lost the insurance I was on. She told me that they could cover me, and then decided NOT TO TELL ME THEY COULDN’T FOR A MONTH AFTER THEY FOUND OUT

WHAT THE FUCK? I mean, seriously. That’s kind of important!!!!

I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW.

Couple Will Pay For A Baby They Will Never See - Surrogacy Issues

A British couple is very angry with the Child Support Agency and the law when they were forced to pay to a surrogate mother to raise a child they will never see.

The couple chose a single mother of two through a surrogacy website. The wife had six late stage miscarriages and were desperate to have a child. They agreed to pay the surrogate mother some 10,000 pounds but in the middle of her pregnancy she decided to keep the baby.

The judge backed her decision since she was the biological mother of the child even when she broke her promise. The couple knew the child would be emotionally distorted if she would be split into two homes so they agreed ultimately to allow the mother to keep the child and keep half of the money they had given her already for her service. However, the couple are angry that they have to pay some 600 pounds every month to raise the baby girl since the husband is the biological father anyway.

The couple are upset that though they have no right to see the child yet it is unfair to pay every month to raise this child. The baby was supposed to be the couple's yet she decided half way to keep the baby herself. They think that perhaps it is how this woman makes a living by fooling rich couples.

Well, this is quite sad for the couple. They wanted to have a baby but ended up bearing the responsibility of a child they will not even see. Unfair. Surrogacy agreements are not legally binding in British courts even with a formal contract so the risks of surrogacy can be huge in certain similar cases.

Parents Refuse To Read Fairy Tales To Their Children

Cinderella

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs

Rapunzel

It has been revealed that most parents have stopped reading out fairy tales to their children. They think it is politically incorrect to read them out while some say they are frightening.

According to a poll carried out by TheBabyWebsite.com in 2009 with 3000 parents some strange things were discovered. Parents have decided to stop reading classic fairy tales because they were scary and politically incorrect. Read on further and you will know their reasons.

Parents explained that stories like Cinderella and Rapunzel would emotionally damage their kids. Rapunzel was considered too dark while Cinderella was treated like a slave. 1/3 of the parents refused to read Little Red Riding Hood to the kids because she walks through the woods all alone and finds her grandmother eaten by a wolf. While 1 out of 10 parents said that Snow White should be renamed because of the word "dwarf".

However, child development expert, Sally Blythe argues that by not reading out fairy tales parents are depriving the mental growth of their children because these stories teach them moral values. Kids learn the difference between right and wrong. These stories have helped kids previously in solving things through their own thinking and creativity rather than following some set instructions.

These stories prepare children for the realities of life not directly but through implications. They understand that strengths and weaknesses are a normal part of human nature. They understand the difference between good and evil, rich and poor, vanity and valour. Parents are hampering their growth by their decision to not read out classic fairy tales to their children.

Blythe went on to express in her book that fairy tales teach children that good should win over the bad. They learn the moral values from them and become strong enough to develop their lives by facing the realities.

She said the dwarfs in Snow White show that one must look beyond how one appears because what may not be so pleasant in appearance may be very kind from within in comparison to very beautiful people who might have ugly hearts. While in Goldylocks, the girl identified herself with the smallest and weakest of characters the most, which is perfectly normal. We must accept how we are. And Cinderella's story prepares children for life after your parent's death.

Well, I think Sally Blythe is pretty right when she says these stories do help children in better understanding of life. It builds a sensible side in them and not just make an instruction based robots out of kids. This is the reason why children are becoming so mean, selfish and materialistic perhaps in the younger generations. Maybe this is why kids today feel it is ok to do the wrong thing because it is so much easier and fun rather than being truthful and having some principles.

Parents really need to re-think their stance. I mean there must be a reason why these classics were taught and read to children for years and years. They worked fine on millions of kids before so what's so wrong with them now?

Bryan Adams To Become A Dad For The First Time

Bryan Adams, who is one of the most popular singers of all time is going to become a father for the first time ever at the age of 51.

Bryan who had an affair with Diana in 1996 after she got divorced is going to have the baby with his personal assistant, Alicia Grimaidi. Alicia is in her thirties and is the daughter of a surgeon. She helped Bryan in establishing his Bryan Adams Foundation and is one of the four trustees of the charity.

Bryan never discusses his love life with the media. Alicia didn't give any comments too about her baby who will be delivered in May. Close sources say that many of their friends still don't know if they are a couple but they are living together in Bryan's house, which is a good enough proof.

Amber Alerts on Facebook Now

Unfortunately, as much as we wouldn't want to hear such sad news, we do get to hear or watch on news that some kid has gone missing and that the parents are desperately looking for their children. Very often, radio alerts, city specific news updates are given so that anybody in that vicinity can help in finding such missing children. Text messages for such cases are also received if one has signed up. Responsible networks and organizations such as AOL, Yahoo, Google and Microsoft all help in disseminating such information.

And now facebook too will do this work of spreading the word around about missing children so that help is provided. Of course, this is all an optional feature and if one wants to specifically receive updates for his location, he will get updates only for that vicinity. Facebook is one of the most popular forms of viral communication and the word spreads around quickly, so it is hoped that this move will help in finding missing children.

The Amber alert program, which was established 15 years ago after the abduction and murder of its namesake, 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, has so far resulted in the recovery of 525 kids according to Ernie Allen, CEO of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

When Sons Will Kill Their Parents?

Just when Governor Salmaan Taseer was killed on Jan 4th and we are all aware of that story, which is not be to discussed here. In the same light, another murder took place. The parents of Justice Javed Iqbal were killed in Lahore. It was rumored that this murder was linked with Salmaan Taseer's killing as well. Perhaps, linking it with the fact that most people didn't support Salmaan Taseer's stand.

But now it is pretty much clear that this was a totally different case altogether and murderer thought he would run away with the murder when the country is lost amidst the former governor's death and endless support of his murderer who is being treated  like a hero.

Justice Javed Iqbal's parents were killed by nobody but their own blood - their son of Naveed Iqbal. He has confessed it himself that he is responsible for the murder of his parents. His phone records confirm his statement. He killed his parents on property dispute.

So, it is quite a sad situation and very sad times when our own blood is killing those who bore us and take care of us for piece of land. This is definitely not a good scenario. We should hope for some light. Satan doesn't have to do much work now that men have taken his job.

Green-eyed monster in your backyard

I have 2 questions & they can be taken as just 1: How compassionate are you when jealousy strikes at your door? Can you have compassion for someone who’s capable of killing you? My answer would be no but yes I’d try to understand as to why someone wants bad things to happen to me. Few years ago, I read this report about a woman killing both her parents with an axe. It happened in Ramazan. She was mentally ill. Her husband left her & she had 2 kids & she wanted to get married again but she said that her mother was not interested. After staying in the jail for 2 years, she herself also committed suicide. It’s difficult to be compassionate when we hear such cases. And it’s easy to use the word judgmental for those who can’t be compassionate.

We have heard of rivalry & jealous amongst siblings. We also have the example of Cane & Abel. It is said that Abel, the first murder victim, is sometimes seen as the first martyr; while Cain, the first murderer, is sometimes seen as a progenitor of evil.

I also read:

“It seems as old as time itself, and yet the mystery of what to do about jealousy between siblings has yet to be solved. The new baby coming home may upset its older sibling. Brothers and sisters who are close in age will feel the need to compete, and for unknown reasons one sibling may have feelings of resentment towards another that can (and many times will) last throughout their adulthood.”

Actually I have a couple of things in my mind. People say that a mother can never be mean but then we hear of cases in which mothers have killed their children. There is also a view that jealousy cannot exist between siblings. I think these views have come from people who want everyone to think that there is nothing wrong in this world. And if you depict the world as shit pot, then you have invented stories that are preposterous for the worldly mind.

When I was in college, somebody narrated this hilarious story that a mother sleeps between her son & his wife. We just couldn’t believe it as it sounded extremely funny. In our part of the world, mother-in-law is regarded as vamp & daughter-in-law is mostly considered some character from the movies who puts up with shit & doesn’t even complain. In simple words, I call it lack of imagination as anyone can be vamp.

Anyway, in all these years, I’ve seen that jealousy is something that can exist anywhere & in any relationship. A daughter can be jealous of her mother. A mother would have problems with the wife of her son. Sister can be jealous of another sister. Siblings can look down on the one who is not like them.

We live once & I really don’t see the point of having grudges against people who have hurt me at some point or who targeted me for whatever reason. I don’t like to resume friendship with such people though. And there are also some people who have never been my friend but they surely have problem with me…those people are called cousins from my maternal side, in plain English. Since I already have enemies, so it doesn’t really matter what I say. Those who don’t know me may regard me as someone who likes to bitch 24/7 & is also very shameless. But their opinion is not that important.

My history is something like this…I wouldn’t have been born, had my brother Aurangzeb not died. My mother still misses him & both my parents were extremely hurt. He was a blond & a very beautiful baby. Anyhow, I was born after a year & at that very time, my father also got promoted. And both my parents decided that they wouldn’t raise the topic of divorce again as they now have 2 daughters. I was considered very lucky for my parents. Everyone knows that I’m vocal but no one knows that I started talking with Papa when I was just 3 days old. And he used to visit us every weekend. My childhood was nothing short of a fairy tale. But that got me into serious trouble.

I have seen movies & have also read books in which they show rivalry between siblings but somehow they are always stepbrothers & stepsisters, never real ones. What a pity! I wonder how long we are going to take to look truth straight in the eye.

Last but not least, my kid sister is, by all means, a gift of God. If Z had been a year younger than me, then I surely would have no need for a single friend. You know God makes sure to compensate.

Z & my mom

The 2 most important people in my life are of course Zara & my mom. Last night I had a feeling that I must write down something. I’m not good at it though. I’m the kind of person who is good at picking fights :P That’s why I’m friends with only 1 of my siblings but the unusual thing is that I get along with the spouses of my siblings.

Ammi is actually a very stubborn child & the mood swings of Z get on my nerves. But she was a beautiful baby. She looked like a doll. I’ve never seen such a cute kid in my entire life. She wasn’t like the usual babies who are all pink & you can’t make out their features. She was different. She was like a little doll from paradise. One of my cousins was all over her cradle saying that she belonged to her. Oh how I detested that god-damn statement! Being a Taurean, I turn green at every opportunity :P I can never forget the moments when Umar & Zara were put in my laps. Umar too was a cute kid but he was all pink as a baby & he was so huge.

I think that Z is way too demanding & sometimes I find it suffocating. But she goes out of her way to take care of me & I appreciate that. I’m kind of used to it now. She always reminds me of Rijja – our cat who takes good care of her brother Tasha.

I don’t know if I should call myself a pampered child. I have heard myths about it. It’s true that I used to get everything I ever wanted…I just have to raise my finger at it. I also used to celebrate my birthdays at the beach. That’s why I say I have cool parents 8) But I had a restrained relationship with both my parents during my teenage years. Although I became friends with my mom at the age of 26 but there’s nothing I could do to become friends with Papa.

I feel bad about a number of things. Papa was asking me to have donuts & I didn’t even reply back…he died after a week. Once my mom got these earrings for me & I threw away all of them when I got mad at her. I used to throw books & other stuff of Papa when he didn’t listen to me. I used to throw the things that my mom cherished. I don’t know why I did what I did. Yes & I’m so sorry for being such a brat & ill-mannered kid. Now I meet old people & they say: your parents really did a wonderful job in raising you guys :P That’s actually a huge compliment for my parents & I’m proud of them for inculcating the love of animals in me.

The other day I heard someone on TV bragging that she was an extremely pampered child & then she narrated an incident in which she got frightened & didn’t come out of her hiding for 4 hours. Her sister knew the place where she was hiding but even she didn’t tell the parents. According to the lady, she was so shy that she couldn’t face her parents. It seems both the kids were extremely shy :P I don’t know why people have to tell such stories which don’t even seem plausible.

Pampered kids do a lot of fucking things & they are never scared of their parents. My parents have done such a wonderful job kay mera aaj bhi dimaag kharab hai. And my kid sister also makes sure that I get everything I want now.

Love you all for making me such a brat & a prime pain :P

The height of hopelessness!

3 or 4 times I have read in the newspaper that kids are being left to grow with the cats & dogs in the house. Such children bark, & walk like dogs & cats as they have been raised by them. Parents throw food on the floor for them. Whenever such kids are discovered, they are taken away immediately. Of course truth is stranger than fiction & we get to hear crappy stories on a daily basis. The thing is…nothing shocks us anymore.

Children don’t come in this world just like that. Needless to say, it’s a very big responsibility to look after a child. I have also gone through reports about illegitimate kids…people throw acid to get rid of these infants. Sometimes they leave them in garbage sites where stray dogs kill them. In fact, people become so damn creative when they want to hurt anyone.

Few years ago, an infant was left outside the mosque in Karachi. When people saw the child, they informed maulana sahab about it. And maulana sahab was quite sure that the baby was illegitimate. According to his closed mind, anything illegitimate was the symbol of impurity & he asked people to cast stones at the baby. And everyone there thought they were sinless just like the new born baby & so they were in the position to lynch that infant. And that’s how all the bastards killed that infant. Nothing has ever been done about it. Most probably, maulvi sahab must be having anal sex somewhere. My doctor friends say that it’s one of most favourite activities of the clergy. Their wives often come to the clinic with this problem & nobody will ever call it an abuse.

We often see these little girls & maids looking after kids. I don’t know how could people trust servants to this extent. My mom told me that once she saw this servant hitting a child with her shoe in the park. Who is responsible? A child being hit & abused by a servant is not just a sorry story. It also tells us about the irresponsible parents who have no time for their children. Wasting your money on the child is not everything.

I still remember how I bothered both my parents when I was a kid. I’ve also heard stories from my mother, khalas, uncles & aunties how Ammi & Papa used to go out of their way to do something for me. The fact is…kids are supposed to bother parents. It’s something natural. It’s sickening to know that parents can be so irresponsible & selfish.

This is beside the point. But whenever I go to the clinic, I often see servants bringing the pets for their check-up. I’m very sorry to say but I find this equally abhorrent. What’s the point of keeping a pet when you don’t even have time to take him to the clinic. I have also seen these damn servants treating the animals so badly.

Whether it’s a child or a pet – servants would treat them badly, if they could. I’m not saying that all servants are bad. After all, they are humans. Some are good but mostly, servants aren’t that good. Abandoning your kids at the mercy of servants is not that great an option…at least in my opinion. Leaving children with the pets to grow up only highlights how untrustworthy & fucked up those parents are.
All I know is that kids ought to be treated like kids. And such stories only give one headaches. For a better tomorrow, you must work on your kids.

Papa

I really don’t have the right words. The fact is that I don’t know my father at all always bothers me. He died 17 years ago when we were all too young. Although I do remember almost everything that happened on 31st May’92…Everyone was celebrating like mad, cause nobody knew as to what would happen on 1st June.

I don’t want to sound bitter about it. I often think about those who lost their fathers before they were even born. After all, I know how he grinned. I know he was an avid reader. You know I often go through his books & read the passages & lines that he marked. I try to know him by reading all that. In fact Bertrand Russell became one of my mentors, cause Papa really liked him.

I was a very wild & rude child, so far as my parents are concerned. When I look back, I don’t like the way I said things to both of them & I was just a child. Once I was talking to Papa & he was busy reading & I threw away all the stuff on table & also the table. I vividly remember before his death, he was asking me to buy something from the bakery & I didn’t even bother to answer back. And strangely enough I would very much like to argue & fight with him how I argue with my mom.

You get to know your parents better when you grow up. I didn’t get the chance. Even Umar & Zara didn’t get that chance. Our elder siblings were lucky, but we weren’t. You know I take the death of a father as something like this…you are wrapped up in a shawl & someone grabs it from you. It’s so cold out there & still you don’t have that shawl. Wolves are ready to devour you. A lot of people say that if you have brothers, you don’t need to miss your father. It’s all bullshit. I have 3 brothers & I don’t think there is any comparison between a father & a brother. Elder siblings can never take the place of a parent. They are just your elder siblings & parents are parents. No can take their place. No one even deserves to be compared to them.

Yesterday I was saying to Zara that we have gone beyond the point of being sad. And one of my friends said that God knows why it happened. I’m sure He does. But I don’t see any good in it. The thing that bothers me today is that I don’t know him. And it will bother me forever. There is no substitute for a father.

There are so many times I want to talk on topics & I just don’t find anyone who could even get my point. Many a time, it seems such a waste to express yourself. It seems I’m insulting words by uttering them in front of people who can’t understand what I’m saying. I wish I could talk to him. Talking to your parents is all together another experience. There are things that I have discussed with my mother, but I can’t think of writing them down.

I also feel bad that I should have protected his house, but I didn’t. And I’m sorry for that as I have never been sorry for anything in my life & I mean it. Hurting your parents is the worst crime. I don’t know how I’m going to make things right, but that’s what I intend to do.

Of course I miss him like any child would miss his parent. It seems unfair how he died though. He wasn’t even that old. However, there is one hope. When I die, at least there would be Papa, Dadi, my brother Aurangzeb & all my pets waiting for me. But before that I have to clear up a lot of mess. God bless my soul! I need it & so does Z.

This is the 2nd time I have to ask my mom to read something I have written…something in which there is no room to make an impression. That is what I like about parents.
