What Did Bollywood Hotties Do in 2010?

Deepika Padukone: She is over Ranbir Kapoor and though she tries to hide but people kind of know that she has a new boy friend, Siddharth Maliya, son of business tycoon, Vijay Maliya. She worked in a couple of films like Lafangay Parindey, Break Ke Baad and Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se but none of the films were a hit at the box office.

Sonam Kapoor: This stylish young girl, has gained recognition for her style sense and the fashionista title for sure. She has turned a fashion mentor in Mumbai and talked about fashion times at Fashion Class with Esprit at the Esprit Store. Her film I Hate Luv Storys was liked by audience.
Malika Sherawat: She did lots of work for her international Hollywood debut project Hisss. She walked on the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival with a snake around. She even visited the snake temple. The film did not do well at the box office.

Katrina Kaif: She turned out to be the shining star in 2010 also just like the previous year, not really for her acting but for her looks and charms. Her performance in Shiela Ki Jawani from the film Tees Maar Khan is what made the audience absolutely crazy after her once again just before the end of the year.

Priyanka Chopra: Piggy Chops made her entry on small screen by hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi. But her big screen films, Anjana Anjani and Pyar Impossible were flops.

Malaika Arora Khan: The sexy lady doesn't have to try to hard to keep her fans in love with her. This year, she just did another hit item song "Munni Badnaam Hue" for her husband's film Dabangg. She was a winner completey.

Kareena Kapoor: Though she believes she is number 1, the year was miserable for her with only one hit in the form of Golmaal 3, which was actually not her film totally.

Aishwariya Rai Bachan: She was praised for her performance in Guzaarish. However, Action Replayy and Raavan totally bombed at the box office.

Lara Dutta: She had a quiet year with one hit in the form of Housefull. On the personal front, the year was a happy one for her because she got engaged to tennis star boyfriend, Mahesh Bhupati.

Bipasha Basu: 2010 was surely not her year with a blast from the past when her old topless ad was leaked on the internet. She remained quiet till the controversy died down itself. Besides, she worked in Aakrosh, which was more of an Ajay Devgan and Akshaye Khanna film. Bipasha was hardly visible in that film.

Rani Mukherjee: 2010 was one of the quietest years for her. But by the end of it, she has worked in a good movie it seems, No One Killed Jessica will be released in 2011 Jan.

Sonam Kapoor spotted on the sets of Thank You

Now this is a good pic & Sonam looks really natural & cute. The rest of the gals are just how girls are these days.

Gals of Bollywood

I think Aishwarya looks quite dead in this outfit. And she has some problem of constipation.

Bebo doesn't seem to work hard in still photos. It's becoming monotonous for me to say the same thing about her expressions. Anyhow, I love the color red. The outfit is good. Someone else might have looked really sexy in it.
Sonam Kapoor is a stylish young woman, but I don't like this cover.
Twinkle Khanna looks more like a vamp. There's nothing sexy about it. She has insulted the color red.
I like this cover, but John looks kind of dull. Bipasha looks cool but over all, it's a fine cover. John could have made it better.
Sonakshi jee for sure looks better in this pic & the credit of course goes to the make-up artist & photographer for making her look what she is not. Anyway, she said that she won't ever reveal or kiss anyone in the movies...she has already exposed enough. Moreover, nobody who has a bit of taste would be interested in watching her kiss a dog or a man or even a dead pillow.

Kangana is a really stylish, pretty lady. She does experiments every now & then.
Lara Dutta simply looks bad. In fact I couldn't even recognize her at first.

Battles on the net

Well there is always some war going on Twitter. What a waste of tweets! Anyway when I Hate Luv storys was released, Shobha De as usual gave a bad review. And the director Malhotra’s tweet on that day was:

‘Guys please don’t take Shobha De seriously. She’s a fossil going through menopause. She doesn’t get any action.’

Now this was retweeted by poor Sonam Kapoor on her page & later on she even apologized Shobha De. She was being pressurized by her father to do so. But Shobha De after hearing about that tweet was questioning the upbringing of Sonam Kapoor. According to her, Sonam doesn’t show signs of decent upbringing.

And this is what Sonam wrote on Twitter:

‘Mrs De I owe you an apology for getting personal. I am ashamed for my momentary lapse of judgment. And apologetic. Every writer & journalist & audience is entitled to her opinion & I respect that.’

Shobha De is not just a bad writer but also a strange kind of critic. She doesn’t ever say nasty & wicked things about her friends or their kids. They are all always good actors & they know how to dress up. Unfortunately I had to go through her write-up in which she was questioning the upbringing of Sonam Kapoor. It was unreadable, to say the least, but we blogger can do the all the unexpected things. So I have taken few lines…I know it’s going to be tough on, but you guys can read it:

“Unfortunately, the current generation of Bollywood brats in their monumental arrogance and limited intelligence forget that not all journalists are purchasable commodities. And if their film is a turkey, that’s what it is going to be labelled.”

“This is where good breeding and decent upbringing come into play. Take the Bachchans. Abhishek was slaughtered by critics recently after his Raavan bombed. What did the young man do? Did he respond to critics by tweeting in an uncouth, rude language? Nope. He kept his cool…Ditto for Aishwarya who was also given hell in print and across channels. She too didn’t go into a silly huff and crib about how mean everybody was being to her. Sure, Bachchan Sr did talk about the strange editing and attracted his share of flack. But at no point did the Big B resort to pettiness. Ditto for the Roshans when Kites bombed big time and the press tore into the multi-crore dud, sparing no one — not Mori, not Hrithik. The Roshans took it on the chin. Seasoned professionals from such a background do not take cheap pot shots at journalists and start abusing them on assorted public platforms. Unfortunately, these days, the film industry attracts all kinds of upstarts who reveal their own shabby backgrounds when they launch personal attacks on columnists. Surprisingly, even some of the newbie hot shot actresses resort to slanging matches when critics don’t automatically fall at their feet and go gaga over their looks\performance. These immature, spoilt filmy kids should take their cues from someone like a Karan Johar, who is their ultimate guru. You’ll never find this guy descending to pathetically low levels and trashing critics. His jibes and cracks are always good humoured, even when he wants to put someone in his or her place. That’s called finesse and class. By all means defend your work — but do it with panache. Or is that too much to ask of these one film wonderboys who believe they can teach the masters a thing or two?”

Even here Shobha De had to praise her pals. My sister very righty says that Karan Johar is nothing but gay Shobha De. I’m not saying what Sonam Kapoor did was right. She has also labeled Shobha De as the ‘wicked witch of Bollywood.’ But just as Shobha De is entitled to her opinion, so is Sonam & so is anybody else who could be a nobody. You can’t expect everyone to say yes to experts & gurus.

This reminds me of another tacky episode in which Sara Taseer & Fatima Bhutto were involved. Sara Taseer wrote some really hideous tweets about Fatima Bhutto. She called her a traitor & nothing actually made sense. I think jealousy was the main reason behind that explosion. Fatima Bhutto is pretty & somebody is not.

Can’t think of any more battles on the net! Life is so short & it’s a pity that we waste it on unnecessary battles. I believe the most important battle is the one we wage against ourselves. By any chance if you manage to get on that battlefield, it’s kind of difficult to think about petty battles.

Have a good weekend! :D

Messy Episode

After reading about Sonam Kapoor & her sister, I need to make some clarification about what I wrote few days ago. When I watched that particular episode of Koffee with Karan, which created a lot of mess, I realized that the media is the biggest bitch. Bitch # 2 is of course Karan Johar. Bitch # 3 is Deepika beyond any reasonable doubt. Sonam is not at all a bitch & Rishi is simply mad for jumping in without any valid reason. Ranbir Kapoor is certainly not a victim. Whatever those 2 girls said could have been easily ignored by both Rishi Kapoor & Ranbir.

I don’t think Sonam is bitchy & vicious. She didn’t make nasty comments. Yeah she doesn’t think while talking, but she’s spontaneous. Unlike Deepika, she didn’t have anything against Ranbir as such.

Shobha De is the kind of person who doesn’t spare anyone she’s not friends with. The kids of her hot shot friends are always better actors. Ever since Aishwarya has become a part of Bachchan family, Shobha De is praising her like anything. Oh yes why the hell am I talking about her…actually she made some vicious remarks about Sonam, Imran Khan, Deepika when they entered the industry. And Sonam at least has the guts to say that she was hurt & Shobha De herself writes bad books, why does she find faults in others!

Deepika didn’t miss any opportunity of throwing mud at Ranbir. Although she said that she came out of that relationship very happy & strong, but at the same time, she couldn’t help being bitchy wherever she can. A happy & strong person doesn’t need to bitch about the past. Only wounded & hurt people do that. We all know it, cause at one point or another in life, we taste it. When Deepika went with Sonam to some spa, she said that Ranbir had insecurity about the entire thing. She made it clear to even idiots that Ranbir was never faithful. Cheating comes naturally to him…that’s how Deepika painted him. And he’s not a good bf…he needs to work on his skills.

Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t have much sex appeal. In fact we have seen much better guys in Pakistan. You see Veena Malik is not the only Pakistani thing. You may have experienced her, but we know better. We have seen better faces. Sexy guys do exist in Pakistan & I can bet my life on it. And you must have seen Ali Zafar. That’s what we call good-looking. It’s another thing he doesn’t have a good voice. But I have heard what is sexy & I would give anything to hear it again. It’s that sexy.

Now coming back to Ranbir’s sex appeal…the point is Deepika was his gf & she made it seem as if he’s such a piece of shit. Obviously she hasn’t forgiven him & she has a terrible grudge against him. But it never occurred to her that she was telling the world that she herself has low standards. How could you fall for a guy who is so very unattractive, to begin with? And later on she has issues with his sex appeal. This is absurd. Ask any average female & she would tell you that Ranbir has either 0 or -1 sex appeal. But Deepika couldn’t have been one of them I guess. She must have really adored this guy to waste so much time on him.

Moreover, I don’t think that it was required on the part of Rishi Kapoor to make such big statements that he was even thrown out of a film.

Last but not least, somebody must tell Karan Johar that he doesn’t speak good English. We are tired of hearing ‘both the 2 of you.’ It’s amusing that he’s all the time making fun of people like Kangana & Rakhi Sawant. I think he’s a far bigger bitch than the word bitch.

PS Guys I made a mistake. This is what Karan Johar often says on his show:

'I am loving THE both of you!'

Sonam and Rhea Kapoor

Just like Karishma and Kareena Kapoor, we have another pair of siblings in the Indian cinema that say they are the best of friends and really close to each other. These sisters, are Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. Anil Kapoor is their father and Sunita Kapoor is their mother. Sonam is the eldest of the three kids, with Rhea in the middle and then their youngest brother, Harshvardhan, who is still no where in the sight.

Rhea Kapoor, preferred to take the back seat and is known as the producer of the movie Aisha. She finished her college from New York University, NY. She was an Assistant Director in Wake Up Sid before she turned producer. Aisha is her first film as a producer.

Sonam Kapoor, on the other hand, is the actress sister. She was born on 9th June, 1985 in Mumbai, India. She went to Arya Vidya Manhir school in Juhu and then went to United World College of South East Asia to do her International Baccalaureate.

Sonam Kapoor is fairly new in the industry but is liked by audiences for her style sense and glamorous looks. An advantage to her is that she looks fairly young and smart, unlike most actresses who simply look corrupt and old. She is liked by critics especially for her movies I Hate Luv Stories, Delhi 6 and Aisha.

She has also won Filmfare Best Female Debut Award in 2008 for Saawarya.

Dev Anand allows Remix of Dum Maaro Dum to be made

Dev Anand has always been extra possessive about his films and songs. Not exactly forthcoming about any kind of remake that one might want to make. But even Dev Anand knows where his work would be respectably recreated as he has finally given his blessings to the team of Dum Maaro Dum when Rohan Sippy approached him with the proposal.

Once he realised, what Rohan Sippy, the director of the film, wanted to do with his cult song 'Dum Maaro Dum', which we remember for the retro look and the then-popular-culture of drugs, he was more than happy to give Rohan Sippy the rights to remake it.

The movie Dum Maaro Dum, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Rana Daggubatti, will now have the remixed version of the cult classic of the yesteryears. The remixed version of the song, is supposed to be young and contemporary, so that today's generation too can relate to it.

But the big question is who will fill the big shoes of Zeenat Aman who looked stunning in the original version of the song, and carried it with such punch. Lips are sealed and no one is divulging any names. Insider sources claim that some of the top most actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor are being considered.

The remix of the song is being done by Pritam, and he is presently working quite hard on it. Insiders claim that this song is going to be a scorcher, and is going to be the hottest song of the coming year.

Unseen Photos of Sonam Kapoor

These are some unseen photos of Sonam Kapoor. The good thing is that she is slim and attractive. It's not a burden on the eyes watching her.

A boring morning

This is a boring Thursday morning. I haven't slept well in weeks now. And today is a long day at work. I'm waiting for one of my weird clients to come and she is getting late.

As I go through some bollywood tweets, I will write whatever seems interesting.

Just read that was a rumour till a few days back that Dev Anand is dead. But the oldie is alive and finalizing his latest production. Another interesting thing is that Saif Ali Khan will be working with the same guy who casted him in Omkara and gave Saif his biggest hits and amazing recognition as a real actor.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is bring Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor and Priety Zinta in his new movie "Heera Mandi". The movie is of course based on lahore's red light area. Earlier he thought of bringing Madhuri, Rani and Sonam Kapoor for this venture. But people say the final selection is much better and sizzling.

Karan Johar turned 38 and he planned to stay away from the crowds and clutter and decided to be on his own in Manhattan. Like we say, everybody needs some personal space.

Ranbir Kapoor is working on publicity of his new film Rajneeti. He looks handsome as he portrays Rahul Gandhi. He was travelling in train to promote the movie.

The client has not come in as yet. No respect for time man. This pisses me off.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor (born 9 June 1985, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood films.

Kapoor is the daughter of Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor, and the granddaughter of filmmaker Surinder Kapoor. She is the niece of producer Boney Kapoor, actress Sridevi, actor Sanjay Kapoor and producer Sandeep Marwah.

Kapoor is the eldest of three children; the others are sister Rhea Kapoor and brother Harshvardhan.

She went to school in Mumbai at the Arya Vidya Mandir school in Juhu and then enrolled in the United World College of South East Asia to do her International Baccalaureate. She speaks English, Hindi and Punjabi, and is a trained dancer.

Before starting her career off as an actress, Kapoor worked as an assistant under Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and assisted him during the making of his film, Black (2005). She made her acting debut alongside newcomer, Ranbir Kapoor in Bhansali's Saawariya (2007), which failed to do well at the box office. Her performance was opened to good reviews by most critics.

In 2009, Kapoor appeared in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi-6, opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The film flopped at the box office and received mixed reviews by the critics, but her performance was highly praised. Critic Rajeev Masand commented, "Sonam Kapoor is the revelation in Delhi 6. She's a firecracker performer, instinctive and uninhibited in what isn't even a conventional female lead".
