Naked Artist
For the past few days I wanted to write down about something I heard from a friend of mine who is a sculptor

and colleges here. One of these places - perhaps the finest one with lots of influential kids and strong corporate links is where the story took place. I happened to meet many graduates from here. They were apparently all bitchy, that was their common trait. Those whom I met while I worked, also had another quality, they just talked shit and didn't like to work at all.

Now one girl, I am assuming she would be some A grade student and a favorite of all professors, so she made a special request to the administration. She asked for a private room for her practical because she works best when she is stark naked
. Therefore, for maximum inspiration and to produce the most creative piece of art, she asked the administration to accept hr request. I think she was granted the request.

It is a funny thought. Wonder what was that artistic piece like that was inspired and created with complete rawness in the aura :P Who knows they had put secret cameras inside. It is interesting to know people in our country can put up such requests too.
Just at that moment, I recalled a very renowned artist of our country, who is pretty good at his work but is a bit peculiar in some ways. He is decent, however, many people reportedly revealed that this man too has a tendency of walking naked in his house. Somebody I knew was his neighbor once and she said the same thing, that this artist is often seen naked in his window. Perhaps he too paints or creates sculptures with more enthusiasm all bare.
I can't figure it out. I don't understand how it works. I am sure if they say something might help them to work best in such a state. Inspiration can come in many ways. It might be one of the ways. Like in one of the parts of Poison Ivy

Lakshmi Menon Poses Nude for Pirelli Calendar 2011
Lakshmi Menon is an Indian model who is making her mark in the international fashion scene since 2006. Recently, she became the first Indian model to ever pose in the Pirelli Calendar for 2011 since the last 38 years. Lakshmi started modelling merely to have some pocket money while she was studying at Bangalore University in Sociology, but it seemed she could do so much more with her modelling career. Very soon, she was offered to work on the international front. She was also awarded "This Year's Model Crown" by Vogue for 2008.
However, the 28 year old Indian model had to take up a challenge in order to pose for Pirelli Calendar. She had to pose nude for the calendar. Many Indian models have done so before also for various shoots and so did she but on a much more recognized platform.
Photographer Karl Lagerfeld has snapped the model when she flaunted her assets alongside models Erin Wasson and Bianca Balti. It has been shot at Lagerfeld’s Paris studio. The calendar is based on Greek and Roman mythology themes. After this shoot, Lakshmi has joined the league of many other renowned international models like Jeneil Williams, Erin Wasson, Lara Stone, Freja Beha, Heidi Mount, Anja Rubik, Magdenlena Frackowiak, Iris Strubegger and many others.
Hostel - An Eye Opener
The new Indian film Hostel will be a shocking eye-opener for the audience to realize that ragging in colleges and schools across India has become an extremely evil practice. It is about time that people realize that ragging should be taken seriously because due to ragging students are losing their lives and committing suicides.
Few Indians are aware of the number of suicides that occur in Indian Hostels as a result of the phenomenon termed as 'Ragging'. This sadistic practice has become a ritual wherein students are beaten up, stripped, paraded naked, starved, tortured, molested and even raped by their seniors. Since victims of ragging find it humiliating to report sexual abuse to their parents or others, most ragging-related crimes go unreported. Sadly, these very students - who suffer silently at the hands of their seniors - in turn, vent their frustrations by ragging their juniors in the following years.
Of course, ragging is a serious issue. I am shocked that even after so many years nothing serious is done about this social issue.
Veena Malik - Come Back Now
As much as I didn't want to write anything on Veena Malik, but miss N reminded me to post something on her. I was baffled to read that our Indian friends consider Veena to be a Pakistani version of Rakhi Sawant :)
We have seen Veena Malik from the good old days. She is one of those faces who never got any recognition in the industry. I remember her just singing La La La in the background while Zara Sheikh was the lead actress. While Rakhi Sawant is known for her honest and emotional outbursts. She is spontaneous and open about her real life, surgeries, opinions, love life and anger, I feel Veena Malik is more of an attention seeker and hypocrite. I recall how cheaply she was flaunting some papers and talking about her ex cricketer boyfriend and his involvement with bookies a few days ago before Bigg Boss started. And amazing part was no one really gave a damn about what she said also. She seemed ridiculous. Before that, she shouted in media about her boyfriend taking away money from her and not giving it back to her.
She is good at mimicking and making people laugh if she is given a good script. She performed well in Geo's political comedy Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain. Apart from that, in Pakistan she has never been the talk of the town.
Due to Bigg Boss season 4, Veena Malik has gained attention for the first time. Most Pakistanis feel embarrassed that she is fake and talks in a silly manner. She is considered nothing a but a wanna be Pakistani there it seems. Initially, I also felt she is firm in what she says and honest to everyone as she speaks on the face. Now, I feel she is beginning to irritate audiences, especially if you ask Pakistanis. For us, she is not really a hottie also :) Her intimate scenes with Ashmit Patel and her frequent use of the word Mohabbat is strange. Her arguments with Ashmit with no logic and then silly hugs and mushiness is only painful to watch. The funny part was when Dolly jee had a dramatic fit, Veena Malik was missing from the entire scene and when everything was over, she came cat walking in her long heels to check on Dolly, when Ashmit bashed her once again.
Latest, I read on an Indian website that Veena Malik's towel fell off for a good 10 seconds and for that time she was stark naked. Of course, it wouldn't be shown on Bigg Boss, it was a leaked news from the editing room. It could be an accident or an attention grabbing act.
I have seen Veena Malik's stark naked comfortable photo shoot pics, so I assume whatever happened, it can't be disturbing for her. All in all, we hope she gets out of the Bigg Boss house soon. More or less, we feel she will get some roles or item songs in the Indian cinema. Don't know what sort of welcome will she get in the homeland. It is possible our industry gives her love looking at her success in the neighborhood. Or it is possible, everybody gives her a cold shoulder because many people feel she is an embarrassment because she is hardly representing a good image of Pakistan. But then she doesn't have a positive image as an individual.
I don't like the Pakistani actresses much anyway. My only thought was, thank god Meera was not the one who had to go in Bigg Boss house, otherwise there would have been serious communication issues then lol. Veena ji has done her part well. But it's getting a bit boring now.
