Gyptian - Acoustic Session

A strange connection to the World
Feeling and seeing as you may not.
Among the dreams of the fallen
Do we all fall in to utter death.
Forged my dreams by night and
Dreamed in day. I’ve run out of dreams
Searching any where for something to
Look at in my mind and now
My death is my dreams and
My innocence is taken; I’m scared.
Famine from Light, abundance of
Black and words a-fire molded
My sanity to fluctuate
Between colours of all shades.
Painted masks at arms reach;
A traveler of Souls.

My 1st time at Glorias… the shrimp was WOW

one love.

Top 10 songs played at sporting events

Top 10 songs played at sporting events

A song written before most professional athletes were born was played more than any other at sporting events last year. According to music licenser BMI, Queen’s “We Will Rock You” topped the list of sports anthems during the 2009-2010 season. The track, written in 1976, beat out newer songs by Lil’ Wayne and Nickelback  for the top spot.

 • If you want to have your song played at sporting events, it helps to have “rock” or “burn” in the title. Make a track called “Burning Rock” and you’re set. • Though I had never heard the Sean Kingston or Nickleback songs prior to five minutes ago, I can see the mass appeal they might have for large, family-based audiences. Kingston, like the Black Eyed Peas, provides high-energy beats with safe lyrics, while Nickelback gives off a large-stadium sound and isn’t Creed. But for the life of me, I can’t figure out what allures stadium DJs to the Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliott remake of “Car Wash.” It was bad in the ’70s and it’s bad now.

• Speaking of “Car Wash,” it’s the No. 1 song played at baseball stadiums. (How? Why? Are teams running car wash promotions in the parking lot? Does Armor All have a secret licensing deal with MLB? Did Rose Royce, the track’s original singer, play baseball? Somebody needs to explain this to me.)

• The NFL favored “We Will Rock You.” The song “Twilight Zone” (you may not recognize the name, but you’ve heard it) was most popular in the NHL, which is fitting given that hockey always seems to be about 15 years behind the times.

• “Machinehead” is a good tune, but it’s hard to believe it’s played more than Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” which seems to introduce dozens of college football teams and baseball relievers every year. Similarly, no “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Let’s Get It Started” or that “I like to move it, move it” song?

• Super Bowl performers Christine Aguilera and the Black Eyed Peas both made an appearance on the list. If I’m Kevin Rudolf or Soulja Boy, I’m not holding my breath for invites to next year’s game, though.

SRK and Salman Khan Songs Today

I wanted to put some really fun and fast songs today.

The first one is Break Free from Krazzy4. This is the one on which Shahrukh Khan performed and it is much better to look at. Some of the lyrics are too good and inspirational if you'd listen carefully.

The second one is a rocking Salman Khan song from the movie Hello. I love the beat in this one. Absolute Bang Bang Salman Khan song.

Music of the Day - Ek Duje Keh Liye

I couldn't recall the name of this movie but I remembered this song in the lift. This is one of the popular Hindi romantic movie Ek Duje Keh Liye with Kamal Hassan and Ratti Agnihotri. It shows a very intense love story that ultimately didn't end up so well, like most genuine things as everyone was against their love and choice.

The music is amazing. Interesting thing that I heard was that the actor and actress have amazing intense chemistry on screen but they had a very cold fierce relationship off screen. It was a bad experience and after this movie they never worked together but that does not show in their work.

Mere Jeevan Saathi
This is a fun and very interesting song with name of the movies. I love it.

Ek Duje Ke Liye
This is the romantic title song...very sweet lyrics.

Music of the Day - Hero (A musical love story of a Criminal)

Since I couldn't sleep much last night, in those boring, anxiety filled hours I got an idea to start sharing some of the interesting music on our blog while listening to radio.

The first few songs that I am putting here are from an Indian movie called "Hero", starring Jackie Sheroff, Meenakshi, Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar etc.

Sanjeev Kumr looked so weirdly funny. He acted differently. It was a different from his other sober roles.

Enjoy the songs. They are a bit long in comparison to most songs we hear today, but I loved watching them again.

Meenakshi looks very shareef. This is the stuff we grew up watching. The girl is in love with the guy but he is restraining himself because he is a criminal or is in denial thinking of their differences but actually they both love each other :)

Ding Dong
Look at the criminals, they look so simple and seedhay and loving...the girl is so comfortable with them :) Sanjeev Kumar the real cop sees them and still doesn't recognize them lol And Subhas Ghai also makes his special appearance here. It is said he loves to give such appearance in his movies.

Pyar Karney Wale
Lastly, the powerful love song in which the love birds stand up in front of the world for their love. Wah wah what a line, pyar karne wale kabhi dartay nahi, jo dartay hain woh pyar kartay nahi.

My Wall and Shit

I have been reading, how N mentions Z in so many of her posts. Not that I am grateful or anything. But I believe it is but natural. It's like how can you be alive and not shit? How can you have a house without the walls? It's stuff that is there. So, I'll too write about my walls.

Now, talking about her what I want to mention here is her positive approach towards life. She is a positive person. An optimist. She never liked her name. Hope would have been her other name. But then Umeed in urdu (I am sure she wouldn't like that either). Though she does have her down phase but that goes away in no time.

Then she is like the child who forgets the ugliness very quickly. She loves to be happy and to have fun. She loves her time and wants to enjoy every bit of life in whatever way she could.

I also need to write down how, since forever, she first refuses to hear the songs or the new releases or anything new that I recommend. I tell her how big a hit this new song or this new movie is...but she says she has no interest in it. After many years, she falls for those songs and movies. It did happen a couple of times.

This time I forced her to watch Khuda Keh Liye with me after so many years. I told her you should now. It's be so popular. Check out how good a movie it is. It is a Pakistani good movie. But, I don't think she really enjoyed it. It's something like what I feel when she posts stuff like education related posts here or very scientific posts. I feel so bored.

One thing more, it's the headache and the flu. She has it everyday. She says this thing daily "Mere sar mai dard hai" I find it funny. I am sure she would have it. But it's the everyday bit.

A few days ago, I told her about this song I was listening to on the radio - a sad song but very touchy. It kinda reflects upon our lives in many ways. But then, we shared a good laugh when I reminded her of someone we knew who sang the same song but actually in the mind had a very different sort of crazy fun song. It was a funny thought but true in many ways.

I gotta admit though, I envy her when she is sleeping and I am getting ready. I like how she has no tensions about work and pressure related to handling client shit. I lowee the way she is doing what she loves. But I hate that she hates my sweet and sour potatoes. How can she hate them? She showed me a way and then left me alone to wander in the puddle of sweet and sour potatoes? What a tragedy.

She is my wall and my shit too lol
