"Move your body in any way one hour a day. Sweat five times a week. Eat mindfully. Treat your body..."

“i don’t sweat… i glisten.”

Okay, so this weekend, Mo and I tried an at home waxing kit (Sally Hansen Natural BARE waxing strips).  It was our first time waxing, so we figured we’d get this cheaper kit (about 10 or 11 dollars) as opposed to spending $40 at Sephora for the Poetic Waxing Kit.  Here’s my take on this product:

You don’t heat or microwave the strips, you rub them between the palms of your hands to heat the wax.  You need to do a lot of hard, fast rubbing for the wax to get the perfect sticky consistency.  Once the wax is soft enough, you place it on your skin in the direction that the hair grows in and rip it off in the opposite direction.  The product worked very well on my arms, however, they did little to nothing on the bikini area.

They were an alright buy, and apparently suppost to be natural and healthy and stuff, but I would not buy this product again.  Maybe I was using it wrong, but I think it was just the product.  For womanly areas, I would probably buy the more expensive and worthwhile.

Stay beautiful!

I need to make a brochure about an STI for health. So what are some interesting sexually transmitted infections out there?

This week was my birthday “week,” which turned into many parties along with tons of food and alcohol. I’m counting this as my rest “week.” I guess I deserved it(; And the best thing is, I don’t feel that guilty… just a little. Back on track tomorrow(:

Last night I had pb&j oatmeal and this morning I had it with smart balance butter and salt. A warm bowl of oatmeal was always a comfort in the winter, but I forget how incredibly filling and good for you it is. I would have sworn by oatmeal as my key to weight loss. So I’m gonna start eating it more and making and finding different recipes to use it with - sweet and savory.

Also, I tried quinoa last night at my boyfriend’s. It’s DELICIOUS (and sort of a lot like oatmeal.) I need to get me some of that too.

reason to be happy #1192

I am sooo happy. First goal achieved! I feel fearless!

Now I am determined to lose 2lbs a week. That will put me hitting my UGW before I start the next semester. Everyone will be like WOW, and I will be smiling.

I will work hard. I will do this. I will be healthy and fit.
