What Is the Remedy for Puffy Eyes?

I fucking love carrots. Seriously.

I had a problem with comfort eating. I ate when I was happy, sad, stressed… you name an emotion or situation and I ate. I’ve managed to pretty much completely stop that bad habit, but for times when I absolutely must eat to feel better… I grab a full sized carrot.

Good carrots are sweet, crunchy and filling. They provide you with tons of vitamins and nutrients, plus they are considered a “negative calorie” food. One carrot satisfies that need to bite the hell out of something and fills my stomach.

Eat more carrots.

Video blog regarding my weightloss journey :)

Gonna stay home tomorrow and work out instead of walking to the gym.

My legs are feeling awful sore, and my ankles are a little swollen for some reason - probably the excessive walking and stuff… And I’m feeling super gross now, so I can only imagine how I’ll feel when I wake up. :(

14 miles in 4 days is a lot for me.

Goodnight everybody. :)

Develop a Relationship With Your Body

Develop a relationship with your body is much like the relationship you have with others. It is built around respect, give, take and nurturing. Give vitality to your body more than you draw from it.

What Is the Remedy for Puffy Eyes?:

Overview

Mild swelling and puffiness under the eyes, often referred to as “bags” under the eyes, can be caused by multiple factors including allergies, sleep loss, fluid retention or sagging due to the breakdown of body tissues during the natural aging process. Although there are no cures for puffy eyes, there are remedies available to help reduce the look and feel of the swelling.

Profound Awakening

My dear imaginary friend,

It’s kind of complicated, but I have forgotten most of the things. I don’t remember what is a deep felt emotion anymore. Strange as it may sound, but I was capable of it when I was much younger. Now I don’t know…I don’t feel it anymore. I don’t even know if this is profound loss.

The feelings that were everything became the very cause of my ruin. Hopes were shattered, cause hopes were false. Leaves were fallen, as it was the season. Flowers faded away just like that, cause time was flowing like water. Time that knows the greatness of love has no time to wait for love. Not just slumber refused to touch my eyelids, but even tears refuse to visit me now.

Come to think of it, I wasn’t even mutilated in the real sense of the word. My heart was taken out a couple of times with the help of a sharp object & stabbed till it stopped beating. That heartbeat was a sin, according to man-made rules.

Once my heart was singed & it became a joke for a lifetime; everyone was jeering at it. Another time it was shredded to pieces & those pieces were thrown in different places. I couldn’t gather the pieces of my heart. It didn’t break my heart, cause I wasn’t left with one. You also need one to shed tears. Although I could see, but I was blind.

I don’t have that heart…that part of me was killed long before I woke up. It was killed so that it may never kindle again. That was my crime. My judges didn’t acquit my heart…they asked me to go without it. No, I don’t call it murder. I never died. I live, but I know how I live. I breathe, so to speak.

You can’t prove it as murder. We don’t have any evidence against the slayers. They were my judges. They thought they were right. After all, the world had sanctioned them.

I thought love was beautiful. I also thought it was sacred. In fact, I thought love was as beautiful as God. It wasn’t what I thought. Or do I even know it now? The memories are all tainted, my friend. Memories that ought to be better than hopes are now as cruel as hell.

You say you are in love. You have been in love before. You have touched it. Naturally you know what I’m talking about. These words aren’t meaningless. It’s another thing these words are put down on a piece of paper after their demise. I didn’t know the real meaning when these words were alive. How could I?

Slayers are never kind. They make sure that part of you dies. And if it doesn’t die the 1st time, it surely does sooner or later. All slayers form a unique brotherhood. A heart that truly loves is slain no matter what. There is no escape. It’s not a huge price or a deep loss. It’s not even profound grief. It’s life & life happened to me.I died a number of times before I woke up & now I can’t shut my eyes. And you don’t want to know what it’s like.

Eternally yours,
The Living Corpse

The Disciple

When Narcissus died, the flowers of the field asked the river for some drops of water to weep for him.

‘Oh!’ answered the river, ‘if all my drops of water were tears, I should not have enough to weep for Narcissus myself. I loved him!’

‘Oh!’ replied the flowers of the field, ‘how could you not have loved Narcissus? He was beautiful.’

‘Was he beautiful?’ said the river.

‘And who could know better than you? Each day leaning over your bank, he beheld his beauty in your water…’

‘If I loved him,’ replied the river, ‘it was because when he leaned over my water, I saw the reflection of my waters in his eyes.’

That’s called the Disciple.

Well I read this story a couple of years ago & I was quite fascinated even then. But this is not the reason why I have shared the story with you guys today. I don’t want to talk about the story, but I want to talk about the personality disorder - Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

Anyway before I talk about the disorder…I want to tell a little about Narcissus. In Greek mythology, Narcissus was an extremely beautiful man who rejected all his admirers. One of his greatest admirers was the beautiful nymph Echo. As is obvious, he fell in love with his reflection in a pool. He was finally transformed into the flower that bears his name. From this legend comes the term narcissism & it means exclusive love of self.

People often confuse self-love with narcissism, but there's a big difference between the two. The narcissist actually loves his image which he projects on others; he also suffers from low self-esteem. Some theories suggest that he wants to love whereas those who truly love and accept themselves can love others unconditionally and it's not so with the narcissist. This disorder is closely linked with self-centeredness.

Basically narcissism is defined as a pattern of traits & behaviors that signify obsession with one’s self to the exclusion of all others, & the egoistic & ruthless pursuit of one’s gratification, dominance & ambition. It has been said that it is mostly due to childhood abuse & trauma. It is also said that it’s quite difficult to recognize a narcissist as he/she is all the time acting & thereby projects a false image. Of course these people need help, but they rarely get diagnosed, cause they don’t go to a shrink as such.

I read somewhere that ‘the fable of Narcissus is essentially a warning about the dangers of vanity, and of always considering one’s self before others. There is a little bit of Narcissus in all of us. And if left unchecked, it can ruin us.’

Yeah it may seem weird but isn’t it amazing that someone could actually worship himself? I met this woman & she claimed that she loved herself in spite of all her faults. She specifically mentioned that she paid all her bills. Naturally who else would do that? Oh no I didn’t say that! How could I? I have manners & she wanted to deceive herself & me. Anyway then she narrated a couple of things that she did (that no one else could have done for her) & again she came back to her obsession or whatever it was. In my opinion, she wasn’t a real narcissist. She was posing to be one. And most probably, she didn’t know that it was a personality disorder. She really liked saying that she loved herself. If she was so much in love with herself, what was the need to say it aloud? This is just one example. I’m sure you all must have met characters.

About the disciple, I guess I don’t need to say anything or the charm would be lost.
